Reflections in History

Specializing in the History, Photography, and
Signature Habits of Lyndon B. Johnson

From his early years as a young Congressman
and Senator through the years of his Presidency,
Lyndon B. Johnson remains a fascinating study in
personality, power, and politics.

1930’s Signature Examples

Autograph examples for Lyndon B. Johnson from the 1930’s are probably the scarcest in terms of availability. The earliest examples are from the time he worked as an office aide to Congressman Richard M. Kleberg of Texas from 1931-1937. There are a few known examples of letters where young Lyndon Johnson had signed his name to correspondence while working for the Congressman. However, these are few and are quite scarce. Most examples from this period are found on letters and other correspondence beginning as Congressman in 1937. Few if any signatures are ever found on other media such as photographs.

Should you have a Lyndon Johnson signed item from this decade, I would love to see it and add it to the database of known examples.
