Reflections in History

Specializing in the History, Photography, and
Signature Habits of Lyndon B. Johnson

From his early years as a young Congressman
and Senator through the years of his Presidency,
Lyndon B. Johnson remains a fascinating study in
personality, power, and politics.

1940’s Signature Examples

Autograph examples from the 1940’s are reasonably plentiful and available. The one single challenge for this period is determining authentic signatures from those signed by an aide or a  secretary. Several secretarial styles have been identified for this period, but many more are yet to be identified. It is my opinion, the 1940’s and 1950’s signatures are the most frequently misinterpreted of Lyndon Johnson signatures.

Should you have a Lyndon Johnson signed item from this decade, I would love to see it and add it to the database of known examples.
